Alternity - Tides of War
A cheerful T'sa trying to do her part for the universe
File Name: Tafadzwa
Primary Military Specialty: Infantry
Secondary Military Specialty: Demolitions
Affiliation: Galactic Affiliation of Freedom
Rank: E-2 Private First Class
Appearance: Taf is small by T’sa standards being only about 1 meter tall. She moves very quickly and some say continuously vibrates. She wears military garb with the legs and arms rolled up since her stature is so small.
Attitude: Taf is fun-loving to a fault and curious about just about everything. She is obsessed with all things mechanical, complicated, and explosive and has often gotten into trouble indulging in her obsession. She has a difficult time remembering important information. She has never quite figured out what was important and what was irrelevant.
Motivation: Taf originally joined the GAF to find her brother…and a new place to live. However, she now just enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, and seeing new technology. Privately, and maybe not so secretly, she hopes she can learn enough to build her own robotic suit.
Tafadzwa came to the verge when she was only 2 or 3 years old. She doesn’t remember much about it. All she knows is that her family left their home to escape the war and by the time they reached the verge, only her brother, Tabit, made it alive. He never explained what had happened, only saying that the war had killed their parents.
Tabit and Tafadzwa were very fortunate in those early years. They managed to get by early on until a kind human family took them in. Tafadzwa, having been so young, adapted quickly and acted more like a hyper-active human child than a T’sa. She loved playing with the other children and developed a love of mechanics, weaponry, and explosives that only a child of war could develop. Her brother, on the other hand, was much older than Tafadzwa, and did not enjoy anything about the verge. On Tafadzwa’s 6th birthday, her brother left their adoptive home and joined the GAF in search of revenge, and maybe a better life. She never heard from him after that day.
Tafadzwa stayed with her human family up until the age of 15, when she finally blew a hole in the house. She had spent most of her childhood studying and disassembling things around the house with little destructive effect. Her final experiment involved nothing more than a little fertilizer and gasoline. The result was half the roof and wall of the house gone and a gentle boot out the door. Her adoptive family suggested she enlistment in the GAF to explore other outlets for her imagination, as well as a chance to find her brother. They also asked that she not use their last name of any enlistment paper work so that she would fit in with the other T’sa…and not leave a paper trail back to them. Tafadzwa reluctantly agreed and joined the GAF with high aspiration that new and interesting things were out there in the universe.
